About the role
The Pricing Analyst supports the firm’s strategic pricing initiatives through financial analysis, pricing administration, and alternative fee arrangement support. This role contributes to profitable growth and exceptional client service.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the annual client rate review process by preparing rate analyses, client summaries, and approval documentation.
- Developing pricing proposals, rate cards, and fee arrangements for client pitches, RFPs, and matter opportunities.
- Building and maintaining Excel-based pricing models to analyze blended rates, discounts, staffing scenarios, and pricing alternatives.
- Aiding in the evaluation and implementation of alternative fee arrangements, including preparing financial models and supporting approval processes.
- Producing recurring and ad hoc reports related to pricing, realization, effective rates, leverage, and other key performance metrics.
- Collaborating with attorneys, Business Development, Finance, Billing, and Business Analytics teams to support pricing decisions and reporting needs.
- Creating dashboards, presentations, and other materials that communicate pricing insights and recommendations across the firm.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three or more years of experience preparing financial, pricing, budgeting, or analytical reports.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial modeling techniques.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and functions.
- Experience with legal, financial, reporting, or data visualization systems is a plus.
