Pricing Analyst
Job Summary
We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Pricing Specialist to support our quoting and estimating operations within the USA market. In this high-visibility, cross-functional role, you will apply acquired job skills and company procedures to translate complex technical data into accurate, profitable pricing assessments. You will serve as a central hub for pricing coordination, utilizing established analytical models to assist Sales, Finance, Engineering, and Plant Operations in meeting strategic goals. The ideal candidate has developed foundational knowledge in PCB pricing and thrives on applying standardized methodologies to solve challenges and optimize workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Analytical & Operational Support
- Execute Pricing Strategy: Utilize and maintain established pricing models based on analysis of market trends, competitor positioning, and factory load within the USA region.
- Support Data-Driven Insights: Conduct rigorous analysis of win/loss data to identify pricing gaps and assist in recommending actionable strategies to leadership.
- Financial Modeling Support: Maintain complex cost and margin models, accurately tracking the impact of shifts in material costs, labor, and new technology introductions.
- Identify Pricing Discrepancies: Review and resolve routine pricing challenges between customer expectations and manufacturing realities, escalating complex discrepancies as required.
- Cross-Functional Coordination
- Internal Collaboration: Build consensus and align priorities between USA-based Sales, Engineering, and Operations teams by following company policies and procedures.
- Support Quoting Operations: Assist in the transition of the quoting team toward a more analytical function by monitoring established KPIs for quote accuracy.
- Process Participation: Identify bottlenecks in the RFQ workflow and participate in initiatives to standardize inputs and leverage quoting software for improved speed.
- Communication & Problem Solving
- Communicate Pricing Logic: Clearly explain pricing logic, margin targets, and recommendations to sales teams and internal stakeholders.
- Technical Translation: Assist in translating highly technical customer data, such as Gerbers and BOMs, into commercial and financial implications for the business.
- Analytical Partner: Serve as a key partner for the Sales team during negotiations by providing the data and rationale needed to win business while maintaining margins.
- Review Technical Data: Analyze customer data packages for completeness and collaborate with Engineering to resolve technical queries before finalized quotes are issued.
Required Skills and Qualifications

- Practical Problem-Solving: A "systems thinker" who can diagnose the root cause of workflow issues and apply scalable company procedures to resolve them.
- Technical & Business Expertise
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a pricing role, with a preferred experience in the PCB industry.
- Technical Foundation: Developed understanding of PCB fabrication processes and the ability to interpret Gerber/ODB++ files and fabrication drawings.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables) and experience with ERP/quoting software.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, or Business, is required.

Salary Range (annual): $75,000.00 - $87,000.00
