About the role
The Commercial Pricing Analyst supports the development, execution, and governance of pricing strategies across the U.S. contract manufacturing business. This role partners closely with Sales, Finance, Procurement and Operations to ensure pricing decisions are data-driven, competitive, and aligned with margin expectations.
Responsibilities
- Pricing Strategy & Execution
- Support the development and implementation of pricing strategies aligned to business growth and margin objectives
- Prepare and validate pricing for new business opportunities, contract renewals, and customer bids
- Develop and maintain pricing models, templates, and tools to ensure consistency and scalability
- Partner with Sales to provide timely, accurate pricing support for customer quotes and proposals
- Financial & Margin Analysis
- Analyze pricing structures, margins, and profitability across customers, products, and channels
- Monitor and report on margin performance, identifying risks and opportunities
- Support periodic price reviews and recommend adjustments based on cost changes, market trends, and customer dynamics
- Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis to support pricing decisions
- Business Partnership
- Collaborate with Commercial, Finance, Procurement, and Operations teams to align pricing with cost structures and capacity constraints
- Support negotiations by providing financial insights and deal analysis
- Participate in cross-functional reviews (e.g., key accounts, major bids) to ensure pricing accuracy and profitability
- Commercial Governance & Reporting
- Ensure adherence to pricing policies, approval processes, and governance frameworks
- Track and report on price realization, price increases, and variance to approved pricing
- Maintain pricing documentation, assumptions, and audit trail for key decisions
- Support corporate and leadership reporting related to pricing performance and trends
- Process Improvement & Tools
- Identify opportunities to improve pricing processes, tools, and data quality
- Support standardization of pricing models and templates across the business
- Contribute to automation and reporting enhancements to improve efficiency and visibility
Qualifications
- Education / Experience / Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business or related field required
- 3 - 5+ years of experience in pricing, FP&A, commercial finance or other related field
- Experience in manufacturing or contract manufacturing environment preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered
- Skills Required:
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
- Solid understanding of pricing strategies, margin analysis, and cost drivers
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP (e.g., Sage X3 or SAP) and analytics tools preferred
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Effective communication and ability to work cross-functionally
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
