Pricing Analyst
HF Sinclair is seeking a Pricing Analyst in Dallas, TX.
About the role
The Pricing Analyst will analyze market trends, execute pricing strategies, and develop pricing models to optimize revenue and profits for company products and services in an assigned Marketing region. Responsibilities include executing daily price changes, identifying potential risks or opportunities, and making recommendations to senior management.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analysis to determine competitive pricing strategies for wholesale products.
- Collect and review data related to customer demand, market trends, and product costs to develop pricing models.
- Lead collaborative efforts with sales teams to understand customer needs and price sensitivities to create tailored pricing plans.
- Lead cross-functional teams for the assigned Marketing region, including sales, marketing, supply, and operations, to develop and execute pricing strategies that align with overall business objectives.
- Create and manage pricing structures, including discounts, to support sales growth and profit margins.
- Identify, analyze, and recommend opportunities for cost savings or increased profitability.
- Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and economic indicators that may impact pricing decisions.
- Monitor pricing changes in the market and adjust pricing strategies accordingly.
- Communicate pricing strategies and recommendations to senior management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external vendors, and customers.
- Perform special assignments or tasks as determined by the supervisor.
Requirements
- 5 to 8 years of related work experience.
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field.
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel, and experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, MarketView, or Power BI.
- Understanding of pricing models and strategies.
- Effective and productive communication and interpersonal skills.
