Pricing Analyst

About the role

Develop, analyze and submit all pricing information for a specific Center of Excellence. Participate in training and practice the SPOT Safety Program fundamentals to aid American Packaging Corporation’s efforts to achieve a zero-accident rate.

Responsibilities

• Obtain pricing information and create accurate price quotes for customers
• Analyze company costs and compare with competitor’s prices/costs, making recommendations to ensure maximum profit
• Initiate interface with Production Control and Manufacturing to determine proposed adjustments
• Coordinate completion of pricing in a timely manner and communicate status of any delays
• Price and analyze bids for volume, material needs, and work with Technical and Purchasing to obtain cost
• Analyze Pricing vs actual profit percentages and price orders as needed
• Create and update existing price matrixes and pricing spreadsheets
• Make recommendations for improving pricing process and provide budgetary information as requested
• Adhere to all company safety guidelines and attend company mandated meetings
• Business travel required

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field, with three years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and customer specifications
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
• Mathematical skills, including ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, and compute rate, ratio, and percent
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel required, advanced knowledge preferred
