Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of Safety, Quality, and Line Efficiency on your assigned shift.
- Oversee daily maintenance meetings and ensure smooth communication with the team.
- Lead maintenance and repair execution plans while training and building team skills.
- Assist in hiring mechanics and participate in interviews.
- Manage relationships with union employees to maintain a positive work environment.
- Build team capability by training and developing shift leads and technicians.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Oversee talent development for Preventive Maintenance (PM) Technicians.
- Lead efforts to reduce Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) and improve line reliability.
- Make quick and safe decisions during unplanned stops to resume production.
- Supervise execution of preventive, run-time, and unplanned maintenance programs for your shift.
- Provide timely feedback to update Preventive Maintenance (PM) plans in SAP.
- Prioritize all PM tasks related to Safety and Quality.
- Support breakdown analysis and corrective actions to improve performance.
- Ensure smooth production start-up by preparing equipment and lines as per priorities.
- Optimize cost-effective Maintenance and Reliability (M&R) activities.
- Provide technical training opportunities to increase team skills in a 24/7 environment.
- Lead equipment reliability improvements with strong root cause analysis.
- Ensure full compliance with all safety regulations and training requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of direct supervisory experience in engineering, maintenance, or production in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing union employees.
- Strong skills in equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, and team leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 5+ years of relevant field experience (preferred).
Schedule
4 days on, 4 days off. 12-hour shifts: 6:00am–6:00pm or 6:00pm–6:00am.
