Preventative Maintenance Technician (Mechanic)

About the role

At EquipmentShare, we’re hiring a Heavy Equipment Preventative Maintenance Technician (Mechanic) at our rental facility in Sherman, TX. This role is part of a dynamic team building the future of construction through innovative technology and real-time support.

Primary Responsibilities

• Create, assign, and monitor work orders
• Track machine service intervals
• Order parts
• Diagnose issues using real-time data from hundreds of makes and models
• Determine root cause and corrective actions quickly
• Maintain paperwork and electronic documentation of work performed
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts
• Stay updated on OSHA requirements (preferred)
• Travel to customer job sites for repairs and maintenance
• Train lower-level technicians as needed
• Operate service vehicle in a clean and professional manner

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Trade school certificate preferred
• Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
• Extensive knowledge of construction equipment and schematics
• Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• At least 21 years old to operate company vehicle
• Physical ability to move, stand, stoop, and bend freely
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
