Presswelder 2nd Shift

About the Role

Watteredge is seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Presswelder to join our 2nd Shift Pressweld department in Avon Lake, OH. This hands-on manufacturing position involves operating press-welding equipment to produce high-quality copper components. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM, with a 10% shift differential.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate presswelding equipment.
• Read and follow job travelers, blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Position and align copper materials and components for welding.
• Adjust machine settings to meet production requirements.
• Monitor weld quality and inspect completed parts.
• Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
• Troubleshoot basic machine and production issues.
• Perform grinding, finishing, shearing, and other secondary operations as needed.
• Complete required production and quality documentation.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 2 or more years of manufacturing, welding, fabrication, or machine operation experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read basic blueprints and manufacturing instructions.
• Experience with precision measuring tools is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Dependable attendance and a team-oriented attitude.
• Willingness to learn Watteredge's presswelding processes.
