Pressroom - Press Operator 2
About the role
As our Press Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, operating, and maintaining a web offset printing press while ensuring high-quality production and efficiency. You will work closely with your team in a fast-paced environment and receive training to advance your career.
Responsibilities
- Set up, adjust, and operate web offset printing presses
- Install plates and blankets to ensure high-quality output
- Make necessary color or register adjustments
- Replace press rollers using hand tools
- Troubleshoot and maintain press equipment for optimal performance
Requirements
- Mechanical Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor mechanical adjustments on equipment
- Technical Expertise: Thorough knowledge of web offset printing presses
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong troubleshooting ability and attention to detail
- Communication & Leadership: Strong teamwork skills, leadership experience preferred
- Industry Knowledge: DMP, RLI, and COMN experience desired
Physical & Technical Requirements
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift 20-50 lbs. occasionally and 10-25 lbs. frequently
- Endurance: Must be able to stand for the entire shift (12 hours)
- Technical Skills: Ability to read job tickets, perform maintenance, read a micrometer, and use basic math & computer skills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with web offset printing presses
- Ability to read and interpret job tickets

Pay
Starting Pay: $25.80-$32.45 per hour (Day Shift) + 7% Night Shift Premium
Schedule
12-hour shifts | 4 Days On / 4 Days Off | Consistent Day or Night Shift
Internal Applicants
Preference will be given to candidates who agree to participate in cross-training including achieving qualified status within the position and assuming responsibility as a backup for lateral and progressive roles, as needed.
