Press Operator - Team Lead - 2nd Shift

Job Summary

The Ideal Tridon Group is seeking a Press Operator for Team Lead on 2nd Shift at our Auburn Hills, MI Plant. This position involves operating a press to cut, shape, and design metal, loading and unloading metal coils, and performing preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Follow standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
• Load machines with metal coil s.
• Locate the products.
• Ensure that machines do not run out of materials.
• Maintain product quality.
• Perform housekeeping while at the machine.
• Provide production reporting.
• May perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal communication skills with strong aptitude for operating machinery.
• Able to follow instructions and learn the production process.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Able to perform repetitive tasks.

Education & Experience

• A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Hi-Lo Certification preferred, but will be trained and certified on the hi-lo.
• One year of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently and repetitively bend, twist, kneel, crouch, and reach to perform work.
• Use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
• Talk and hear.
• Stand, walk, and/or sit.
• Reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally climb stairs, drive vehicles, and operate equipment.
• Lift or carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Must wear required hearing and/or eye protection.

Qualifications

• Must be able to clear drug screen and background check.
• Must have reliable transportation.
