PRESS OPERATOR - C Shift

About the role

Join the largest manufacturer of tile and natural stone in the United States as a Press Operator at Dal-Tile, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries. This role involves monitoring and performing minor adjustments on press equipment, inspecting tile for quality defects, and operating powered industrial trucks to load and unload finished product.

Responsibilities

• Operate press equipment and monitor its efficient operation.
• Inspect tile for quality defects in the manufacturing process.
• Perform minor adjustments to equipment as needed.
• Monitor equipment or processes and report problems to supervisor.
• Follow standard operating procedures to ensure safety and organization.
• Keep work area safe, clean, and organized.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• 1-year previous manufacturing/production experience preferred.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Strong record-keeping and listening skills.
• Ability to take accurate measurements.
• Ability to understand and speak basic English.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms.
• Must be able to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• May be required to sit, climb, or balance occasionally.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally to fumes or airborne particles.
• May be exposed to a wide range of temperatures.
• Works in a loud noise environment.
