PRESS OPERATOR- B SHIFT-NIGHTS

About the role

Join the largest manufacturer of tile and natural stone in the United States as a Press Operator. In this role, you will monitor and perform minor adjustments on press equipment, inspect tile for quality defects, and operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload finished product. Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor press equipment to ensure efficient production.
• Inspect tile for quality defects during the manufacturing process.
• Perform minor adjustments to equipment as needed.
• Report equipment or process problems to supervisors.
• Follow standard operating procedures to maintain safety and organization.
• Operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload finished product in shipping and receiving.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• 1 year of previous manufacturing or production experience preferred.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Strong record-keeping and listening skills.
• Ability to take accurate measurements.
• Basic English language proficiency (understanding and speaking).

Work Environment

• Regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms.
• Must be able to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• May occasionally sit, climb, or balance.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Requires close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles.
• May be exposed to a wide range of temperatures.
• Loud noise levels are typical in this role.
