Press Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate hydraulic, mechanical or dial press to produce bearing components
• Perform a variety of press operations including bearing assemblies, loosening, stamping, compression, installing shields, checking for spins or cracks in races, snap rings, expanding bearings
• Conduct bench operations such as burring, sorting, inspecting
• Filling in on any job in the department as required
• Use measuring devices such as micrometers, verniers, and radial play gages
• Maintain accurate production counts
• Clean bearings and machines
• Report any discrepancies to the lead person or supervisor
• Keep workplace clean & safe
• Movement of materials being worked on
• Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by the lead person or supervisor
