Press Operator
Job Details
We are seeking an experienced Press Operator to set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain analog and/or UV printing presses while producing high-quality printed products safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate analog and/or UV printing presses according to job specifications.
- Perform make-ready activities, including registration, color matching, ink mixing, viscosity adjustments, and print quality verification.
- Monitor production runs to ensure quality, color consistency, registration, and production efficiency.
- Troubleshoot press issues and make adjustments to minimize downtime.
- Perform preventative maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs on press equipment.
- Maintain accurate production records, labor reporting, and material usage documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Assist with training team members and supporting overall pressroom operations.
- Work overtime as production demands require.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Experience operating analog, flexographic, lithographic, screen, offset, UV offset, or large-format UV printing presses.
- A strong understanding of press setup, registration, color matching, ink systems, and print quality.
- The ability to troubleshoot mechanical and production issues.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Strong math, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- A commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience operating similar printing equipment.
- Experience printing on plastic substrates.
- Knowledge of G7/GRACoL color management practices.
- Experience with preventative maintenance and press optimization.
- Previous experience training or mentoring production personnel.
Physical Requirements
- Lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and stooping.
- Ability to distinguish colors and visually inspect printed materials for quality.
- Manual dexterity for repetitive machine operation.
- Ability to work overtime and extended production schedules when required.

This position is responsible for press setup, color accuracy, print quality, preventative maintenance, production documentation, and maintaining a clean, organized work area.
