About the role
Join Amcor as a Printing Press Operator and bring your press expertise to a global packaging leader. In this highly skilled manufacturing role, you'll operate, troubleshoot, and optimize printing press equipment while ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production. We're looking for experienced press operators who take pride in their work, can lead by example, and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a safety leader and uphold all company safety standards and procedures.
- Independently operate and oversee all phases of press production, including setup, changeovers, startup, operation, troubleshooting, and shutdown.
- Monitor print quality and make adjustments to ensure products consistently meet customer specifications and quality standards.
- Read and interpret job orders, production schedules, specifications, and operating procedures.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, operational, and quality issues to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
- Complete production, quality, and job documentation accurately and thoroughly.
- Lead and coordinate the activities of Press Assistants.
- Train, mentor, and support the development of less experienced team members.
- Support product safety, regulatory compliance, and quality requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement, 5S and operational excellence initiatives.
- Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and production teams to improve performance and productivity.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous printing press operator experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to independently set up, operate, troubleshoot, and optimize press equipment.
- Strong understanding of print quality standards, color consistency, registration, and production specifications.
- Experience performing quality inspections and making machine adjustments based on inspection results.
- Ability to read production orders, specifications, measurements, and technical documentation.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn production software and systems.
- Math, measurement, and reading skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety, quality, accountability, and teamwork.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform bending, climbing, reaching, and crouching as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in flexible packaging, film, or packaging manufacturing environments.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Pay
$28.00 - $32.00 per hour, based on experience
- Additional Compensation: 1.5x pay for all Sunday hours worked
- Additional Compensation: 1.5x pay for Over Time
- Additional Compensation: $1.20/hour night shift premium
Schedule
2-2-3 nights (7:00pm-7:00am)
