About the role

Toledo Tool & Die is adding Press Operators to our team to support our continued growth. This is a full-time position based in Pioneer, Ohio. We offer a clean, safe work environment and opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

• Start machines, monitor their operation to ensure proper processing, and record operational data for material tracking and production documentation.
• Operate or tend machines to saw, cut, shear, slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend, or straighten metal material.
• Load work pieces into machines.
• Examine and inspect completed work pieces for defects, such as chipped edges or marred surfaces, and sort defective pieces according to types of flaws.
• Read production schedules to determine specifications, including materials, dimensions, and tolerances compliant with customer requirements.
• Verify and document dimensions of finished parts for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, dial indicators).
• Assist in completing simple to intermediate tasks associated with coil and die changes.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Authority to stop production in the event unsafe parts or conditions appear.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate Supervisor and/or Manager, which may include tasks outside the scope of responsibilities noted above.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Must satisfactorily complete pre-employment screening (background check and drug screen).
• Must be available to work overtime (daily, weekends, and holidays).
• Experience operating large industrial equipment is preferred.
• Must be able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Must report to work on time to support production startup.
• Possess good physical stamina and coordination.
• Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, or climb for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift, push, or pull objects up to 50 pounds.
• Strong teamwork, communication skills, basic math skills, and physical dexterity.

Pay

Starting pay of $17.00/hour with weekly pay.

Schedule

1st Shift: 6:00am–2:00pm. Must be available to work overtime (daily, weekends, and some holidays).
