Press Operator- 1st shift - 5am-3pm

Position Summary

A candidate interested in being a machine operator should be highly motivated and capable of multitasking. This role requires working in a fast-paced environment, maintaining quality, and following standard procedures to maximize product output. The goal is to deliver high-quality components to customers. This position is classified as non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), meaning employees are eligible for overtime pay.

Essential Functions

• Work in a team environment
• Stand for extended periods of time
• Lift 50 pounds independently
• Perform simple machine set-ups
• Read and understand most blueprints
• Monitor scrap rates
• Inspect parts in accordance with procedure policy
• Demonstrate working knowledge and understanding of most QC requirements and procedures
• Understand different cutting tools and their usage
• Have basic knowledge of ISO concepts
• Be familiar with production requirements
• Understand Lean principles
• Be available to work overtime if required
• Support additional tasks as needed to meet business needs

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• One-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education & experience required
• Experience with steel, aluminum, and/or stainless steel preferred
• Basic math skills
• Ability to read blueprints (training provided)

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to stand, sit, bend, and kneel without difficulty
• Repetitive lifting/pulling/pushing 50 lbs
• Exposure to loud noises
• Working in the presence of fork trucks and other manufacturing machinery
