Press Helper

About the role
Must safely and capably assist press operators with all facets of the pressroom operation. This individual must be willing to take direction from the operators and handle these responsibilities in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Set-up of the presses
- Set-up of upcoming jobs
- Assisting the operators during runs
- Clean up of printing plates and equipment
- Shop clean up
- Roll handling
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret written documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to communicate effectively with peers and management
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure (Standard and Metric), using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to read a standard and metric tape measure
