Press Helper

Duties & Essential Job Functions

• Ensures raw materials are loaded into feeder to supply a constant flow of materials while the equipment is running.
• Makes adjustments to equipment such as feeder mechanism based on the size of stock.
• Delivers equipment components such as plates or other materials to the equipment for installation.
• Recycles old/discarded plates.
• Provides basic assistance as needed to make-ready the equipment for operation.
• Aids in retrieving plates, hanging plates, and recycling/storing plates and other tasks associated with make-ready of the plates.
• Helps with wash-up, general maintenance, and housekeeping.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of related experience as a press feeder in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Able to operate hand carts, pallet jacks, stackers.
• Able to handle potentially hazardous materials.
• Possess high standards of personal integrity.
• Able to interact with all levels of the organization.
• Able to follow instructions to assist in operation and maintenance.
• Able to work independently with high attention to detail.
• Able to work overtime when needed.
• The ability to communicate orally and in writing in the English language.
• Must pass a drug test, and criminal background check prior to employment.
