Job Summary / Purpose

Aid the press operator in maintaining quality and efficiency while operating the printing press. Gain the necessary knowledge and skills to progress to the 1st Pressman position.

Essential Key Job Responsibilities

• Knowledge of machine setup for various inks and substrates
• Understanding of industry quality standards for offset printing
• Knowledge of materials and equipment used in offset printing
• Operate the Heidelberg offset press at maximum speed, utilization, and minimizing waste
• Participate in Quality Assurance tasks including pre-production, during production, and post-production checks
• Maintain good housekeeping and adhere to safety practices
• Work overtime as needed to meet customer demands and cover for absent colleagues
• Operate hand, fork, and clamp trucks as required and lift up to 50 lbs
• Perform other duties as directed by management

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Offset, sheet fed, paperboard printing experience
• Familiarity with Neff’s current cGMP and ISO Standards and SOPs
• Completion of necessary paperwork
• Ability to read, write, and speak English

PREFERRED Qualifications

• Experience as a Feeder in offset printing with conventional inks and/or UV inks and coatings on Heidelberg equipment
• Experience with other printing equipment and web printing
