About the Role
Engineered Products is seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our team in Greenville, SC. You will fabricate metal components for material handling and storage solutions, ensuring precision, safety, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up, run, and operate Press Brake for sheet metal operations.
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to produce finished products.
- Comply with all safety requirements and protocols for hazardous environments.
- Use a computer touch interface with multiple menus and functions.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality objectives.
- Load and unload materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1+ years of Press Brake experience preferred.
- Manufacturing experience required.
Skills
- Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience inspecting and ensuring quality of own work.
- Excellent communication skills for effective team collaboration.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks in various positions and environments.
Work Environment
Regularly works around moving mechanical parts in indoor and outdoor conditions, including inclement weather, heat, and humidity. Noise levels may be loud at times.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.
- Constant movement and use of limbs, requiring good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
- Must be able to lift 50 or more pounds at a time.
