About the role
This role plays a key part in EMIT's manufacturing facility, specifically focusing on the operation of press brake machines.Responsibilities
- Execute daily production schedules while ensuring all finished products meet specified quality standards
- Maintain organization of manufacturing orders (MOs), including transferring finished work to pallets and properly labeling parts
- Maintain accurate job and production status in OSEON
- Keep work areas organized, clean, and free of potential hazards
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- Technical training in manufacturing or fabrication is preferred
- At least one year of experience operating press brake machines or similar manufacturing equipment is preferred
- The ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings is necessary
- A basic understanding of measurement tools such as calipers, tape measures, and gauges is required
- Familiarity with production tracking systems like OSEON or similar ERP/MRP systems is preferred
- A strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards are essential
- The ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and meet production deadlines is crucial
- Good communication and teamwork skills are important
Physical and Safety Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs. repeatedly is required
- Standing, walking, and moving for an entire shift is necessary
- Always using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory
- Following safety protocols when using tools and handling materials is essential
