WHAT YOU GET TO DO
Assistants will aid in all aspects of operation of Press lines including change-overs, machine start-up, running and shut-down.
Support operations in becoming World Class in all aspects of the business, beginning with Safety.
- Aid operator in running all jobs in accordance with customer specification, manufacturing specification, print specification, color folders and standard operating procedures
- Aid operator in setting up jobs according to established S.O.C.’s (standard operating conditions), and to report and follow up on any discrepancies to the supervisor
- Affirm all jobs are run in accordance to all written specifications including manufacturing specs, customer specs, print specs, color folders and standard operating conditions
- Work with press operator to minimize job change-over and down time
- Affirm every effort to see that all materials such as inks, stocks, cylinders, cores, and aniloxes are ready for the next job
- Affirm and aid maintenance to get the machine back on line and productive
- Work with the press operator, manufacturing specialist and press supervisor to understand and complete each level of the assistant training matrix on time
- Know and understand the role in product safety
Comply with all 5S and WCM initiatives (Cross Training, moving to the work)
