About the role

Lakeside Book Company is seeking Machine Operator Assistants to join their team. The company prioritizes a safe and secure working environment, environmental responsibility, and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Put rolls of paper on printing presses before and during the printing process.
• Hang printing plates on the press, make minor adjustments, and assist the Press Operator with setup.
• Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning and lubricating equipment to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

• A minimum of 6 months’ production or manufacturing experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to lift and carry 20 to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must have the ability to achieve forklift certification through in-house training.
• Desire to learn and work with others in a teamwork environment.
• Machine experience and/or strong mechanical aptitude required.
• Preference given to those currently in a position no less than 6 months.
