Press Assistant
About the role
As a Press Assistant, you play a key role in supporting the setup, operation, changeover, and maintenance of flexographic printing presses. You'll work side-by-side with the Press Operator to keep production running safely, efficiently, and with minimal waste—helping ensure every job is set up for success.
Responsibilities
- Support the Press Operator during press setup, operation, and changeovers to minimize waste and downtime
- Prepare for upcoming jobs by staging ink, plates, cores, and materials
- Retrieve ink from inventory and assist with cutting and preparing cores as needed
- Perform general cleaning and empty waste bins to maintain an organized work area
- Follow all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and safety requirements
- Aid in routine press maintenance and support efficient production workflows
- Cook up daily responsibilities with the Operator to keep production running on schedule
- Perform other duties as assigned to support press and production operations
Requirements
You'll be joining a 24/7 flexographic printing operation that offers stable, set schedules and competitive pay: Starting Pay: $20.00/hour + 8% shift premium ($21.60/hour) $2,000 sign-on bonus
Shift: Sunday - Tuesday with every other Saturday 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM No swing or rotating shifts
Qualifications
There's no experience requirement, we will train you!
Work effectively in an active team environment.
Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Differentiate colors.
Add, subtract, multiply, divide, and read a ruler to 1/32 of an inch.
Skills
Hands-on work and being part of a fast-paced production team.
