Job Summary and Requirements: The Press Assistant is vital to increasing efficiency by working alongside experienced Press Operators in the setup and safe operation of flexographic printing presses. This role offers a defined career path, allowing Press Assistants to build their skills and advance to Press Operator through our comprehensive three-module training program. Using state-of-the-art Gallus flexographic printing presses, we manufacture critical healthcare and specialty products, including patient wristbands and one-way air valves. Supervisory Responsibilities None Duties/Responsibilities Assist Press Operator by ensuring they have the proper material and supplies. Help set up new jobs by installing plates, cylinders, rollers, dies and screens. Ensure rolls of raw material are mounted on the unwind shaft during production run. Perform total preventive maintenance on the press and all equipment. Required Skills/Abilities Mechanical knowledge Analytical thinking Eagerness to learn Excellent verbal and written communication Ability to work in a team environment Dependable and dedicated Task orientation Education And Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Manufacturing experience. Physical Requirements Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, for prolonged periods. Moving objects up to 50 pounds.
