President, Upshot New England

Position Overview: The President of the Upshot New England (team location TBA) will serve as the organization's top executive leader, responsible for shaping the strategic vision, driving long-term growth, and ensuring excellence across all business and basketball operations functions. This role oversees every part of the franchise, including revenue generation, team operations, brand development, community engagement, and organizational culture. The President represents the team publicly and works closely with ownership, league leadership, partners, and communities across New England to establish the franchise as a premier sports brand in the region and deliver a championship-caliber experience on and off the court. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Develop and execute the long-term strategic plan for the organizationOversee integration of business operations, basketball operations, and fan engagement initiativesDrive innovation across all departments to keep the franchise competitive and forward-thinking in one of the country's most competitive sports marketsEnsure alignment between business and basketball objectives Revenue & Financial Performance Lead all revenue verticals, including ticketing, partnerships/sponsorships, premium sales, merchandise, and media rightsDevelop and expand corporate partnerships locally, regionally across New England, and nationallyOversee budgeting, financial performance, and P&L management to ensure sustainable growth Market & Community Leadership Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including sponsors, broadcast partners, vendors, and civic leaders throughout the New England regionServe as the public face of the franchise in media appearances, fan events, and community initiativesBuild the team's presence and reputation across New England, growing a loyal fan base in a market with a deep sports traditionChampion community programs, youth development efforts, and outreach initiatives that reinforce the team's mission and valuesSupport charitable partnerships and the team foundation Organizational Culture & Leadership Build a high-performing, mission-driven organizational culture rooted in teamwork, accountability, and innovationRecruit, develop, and mentor senior leaders and department headsEnsure strong internal communication and cross-department collaborationPromote diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging throughout the organization Qualifications 8+ years of senior leadership experience in professional sports, live entertainment, or related industriesProven track record in revenue generation, business development, and organizational leadershipStrong understanding of sports operations, fan engagement, and market dynamicsOutstanding communication, relationship-building, and public speaking skillsDemonstrated commitment to community involvement and civic partnershipAbility to lead with vision, integrity, and a passion for competitive excellenceExisting relationships within the New England business and civic community preferred We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
