Position Summary

The President is responsible for providing strategic leadership and overseeing the overall operations, financial performance, and long-term growth of the company. This executive will lead all aspects of the plastics manufacturing business, including manufacturing, operations, engineering, supply chain, sales, finance, quality, and human resources. The President will develop and execute business strategies that drive operational excellence, increase profitability, enhance customer satisfaction, and strengthen the company's competitive position within the plastics manufacturing industry.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership

    • Develop and implement the company's strategic vision, business objectives, and long-term growth plans.
    • Identify new business opportunities, market expansion initiatives, and strategic partnerships.
    • Lead organizational transformation and continuous improvement initiatives to support sustainable growth.
    • Present strategic recommendations and business performance updates to the Board of Directors.
  • Operational Management

  • Direct all manufacturing operations to achieve production, quality, safety, and cost objectives.
  • Ensure efficient production planning, inventory management, procurement, logistics, and supply chain performance.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Monitor operational KPIs and implement corrective actions to improve performance.
  • Financial Leadership

    • Partner with the Chief Financial Officer to develop annual budgets, forecasts, and capital investment plans.
    • Maintain full P&L accountability and ensure achievement of revenue, profitability, and cash flow targets.
    • Evaluate capital expenditures, manufacturing expansion projects, and operational investments.
    • Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to improve margins and reduce costs.
  • Commercial & Customer Leadership

    • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing leadership to increase market share and expand customer relationships.
    • Maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, distributors, and strategic partners.
    • Support new product development and commercialization efforts.
  • Leadership & Talent Development

    • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing executive leadership team.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and employee engagement.
    • Lead succession planning, executive coaching, and organizational development initiatives.
    • Promote diversity, inclusion, and workplace safety throughout the organization.
  • Governance & Compliance

    • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, environmental regulations, labor laws, and applicable industry standards.
    • Oversee enterprise risk management and business continuity planning.
    • Maintain strong corporate governance, ethics, and internal controls.
  • Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, or a related field.
    • MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 15 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing.
    • At least 8 years in an executive leadership role such as President, Chief Operating Officer, Executive Vice President, or General Manager.
    • Extensive experience in plastics manufacturing, including injection molding, extrusion, thermoforming, or related manufacturing processes.
    • Demonstrated success leading multi-site manufacturing operations and driving business growth.
    • Strong financial management skills with significant P&L responsibility.
    • Proven ability to lead organizational transformation and operational excellence initiatives.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
