President, Opco III Broadline
About the role
Responsible for effective operations within the OpCo. Develops and implements operating policies and procedures across functions such as sales, customer service, quality control standards, purchasing, inventory control, materials management, distribution, and facilities maintenance and planning. Conducts and reviews feasibility of new or revised systems and procedures. Oversees all supply chain management functions within the OpCo, working closely with sales, operations, procurement/marketing, customer service, and finance. Supervises senior-level staff at one or more locations and leads the OpCo, which provides distribution services to customers in a defined geographic area. Accountable for achieving established profit, EBITDA, sales growth, and other financial measures.
Responsibilities
- Supervises associates, including staffing, training, coaching, performance management, and problem resolution.
- Ensures responsibilities, authorities, and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined and understood.
- Maintains leadership development practices that promote and provide for capable management succession.
- Plans and budgets to achieve business objectives, coordinating functions between departments to establish responsibilities and procedures.
- Establishes current and long-range objectives, plans, and policies.
- Directs the preparation of the annual OpCo budget.
- Reviews reporting and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives, revising plans as needed.
- Reviews operating results, compares them to established objectives, and takes corrective measures for unsatisfactory results.
- Analyzes activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to assess OpCo progress toward goals.
- Establishes operating policies consistent with broad company policies and ensures their execution.
- Provides guidance, advice, direction, and authorization to carry out major plans and procedures.
- Directs management in the development, promotion, and sale of the OpCo’s services.
- Maintains sound public relations practices to improve the company’s image and relationships with customers, associates, and the public.
- Promotes effective communication and adequate flow of information.
- Represents the organization with customers, associates, vendors, the financial community, and the public.
- Directs overall supply chain management to ensure attainment of departmental goals and objectives.
- Evaluates performance of staff members for compliance with established policies and contributions to objectives.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
- 6–10 years of experience in finance, accounting, operations, and/or sales within the foodservice industry.
- Supervisory experience.
