About the role

Responsible for effective operations within the OpCo. Develops and implements operating policies and procedures across functions such as sales, customer service, quality control standards, purchasing, inventory control, materials management, distribution, and facilities maintenance and planning. Conducts and reviews feasibility of new or revised systems and procedures.

Leads and manages the OpCo, which provides distribution services to customers in a defined geographic area. Accountable for achieving established profit, Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization (EBITDA), sales growth, and other financial measures of the OpCo.

Functions as a team member within the department and organization, performing any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise associates including staffing, training, coaching, performance management, and problem resolution.
  • Ensure responsibilities, authorities, and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined and understood.
  • Maintain leadership development practices that promote and provide for capable management succession.
  • Plan and budget to achieve business objectives, coordinating functions between departments to establish responsibilities and procedures.
  • Establish current and long-range objectives, plans, and policies.
  • Direct the preparation of the annual OpCo budget.
  • Review reporting and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives, revising plans as needed.
  • Review operating results of the OpCo and take steps to correct unsatisfactory results.
  • Analyze activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine OpCo progress toward goals.
  • Establish operating policies consistent with broad company policies and ensure their execution.
  • Provide guidance, advice, and authorization to carry out major plans and procedures.
  • Guide and direct management in the development, promotion, and sale of the OpCo's services.
  • Maintain sound public relations practices to improve the company's image and relationships with customers, associates, and the public.
  • Promote effective communication and adequate flow of information.
  • Represent the organization with customers, associates, vendors, the financial community, and the public.
  • Direct overall supply chain management within the OpCo to ensure attainment of departmental goals and objectives.
  • Evaluate performance of staff members for compliance with established policies and contributions toward objectives.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.
  • 6–10 years of experience in finance, accounting, operations, and/or sales.
  • Supervisory experience.
