Essential Duties
- Develop a strategic plan to advance the manufacturing company’s mission and objectives and to promote revenue, profitability, and growth as an organization.
- Assure the implementation of strategic plans that meet future growth and acquisition needs of the organization.
- Provide the manufacturing company with the vision and leadership to carry out its mission and overall direction.
- Formulate long-term objectives and standards of performance for the manufacturing company.
- Provide leadership and direction to the Management team to ensure the continued development and management of a professional and efficient organization.
- Constant and continuous focus on effective succession planning for the company to assure that the right talent is developed to handle personnel changes and organization evolution.
- Evaluate, advise and lead on the impact of long-range planning of new programs/strategies and regulatory actions as those items impact the attraction, motivation, development and retention of co-workers.
- Enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation.
- Create and promote a positive, multicultural work environment that supports consistency throughout the organization's strategy, operational methods, and data collection needs.
- Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration and strengthen internal communications with staff throughout the organization.
- Approve operational procedures, policies, and standards through interactive processes with A.Y. McDonald Industries shared resources such as finance, HR, marketing, purchasing, and Information Technology.
- Evaluate performance of the Management team for compliance with established policies and objectives of the company and contributions in attaining objectives.
- Oversee compensation programs to ensure regulatory compliance, competitive rewards programs and effective talent retention and attraction strategies.
- Maintain awareness of both the external and internal competitive landscape, opportunities for expansion, customers, markets, and new industry developments and standards.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University plus 15 to 20 years of overall professional management experience.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
