About the Role

This is a part-time, temporary position responsible for operating mowing equipment to maintain city parks, athletic fields, and other public landscaped areas.

Responsibilities

• Operate riding and push mowers, trimmers, and other landscape maintenance equipment.
• Mow, edge, and trim grass in parks, medians, and other city-owned properties.
• Perform routine equipment checks and report any mechanical issues.
• Assist with litter removal, irrigation repairs, and minor landscaping tasks as needed.
• Follow safety protocols and city maintenance standards.

Requirements

• Ability to safely operate mowing and landscaping equipment.
• Basic knowledge of landscape maintenance practices.
• Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation to job sites.
• Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Schedule

• Part-time, temporary position (seasonal).
• Hours vary, up to 20 hours per week.
• Work schedule primarily Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends as needed.
