- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior childcare, daycare, preschool, or toddler classroom experience required
- CDA or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Understanding of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP)
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Passion for supporting young children's growth and development
- Must meet New Jersey childcare licensing and background requirements
- Knowledge of the L.E.A.P. curriculum
- Ability to implement engaging, age-appropriate learning activities
- Experience fostering positive relationships with children, families, and fellow educators
- Ability to maintain an organized, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment
- Ability to communicate regularly with families regarding milestones, progress, and daily activities
- Ability to partner with assistant teachers to ensure classroom consistency and success
- Compliance with New Jersey childcare licensing and safety requirements
- Implement engaging, age-appropriate learning activities using the L.E.A.P. curriculum
- Support language development, social-emotional growth, and early problem-solving skills
- Guide daily classroom routines including toileting readiness, meals, transitions, and rest time
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and fellow educators
- Maintain an organized, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with families regarding milestones, progress, and daily activities
- Partner with assistant teachers to ensure classroom consistency and success
- Follow all New Jersey childcare licensing and safety requirements
