Preschool Teacher's Aide

About This Role

We are looking for a dependable, caring, and fun-loving Teacher's Aide for one of our preschool classrooms. The Teacher's Aide is responsible for providing a safe environment and assisting the Lead Teacher in providing a developmentally appropriate program. Our center is a close-knit family, we are looking to add a dedicated teacher. This is a full-time position.

What You'll Do

• Aid the Lead Teacher in the development and implementation of a developmentally appropriate program for young children.
• Supervise children - Ensure that children are supervised at all times during indoor and outdoor activities and that ratios are maintained.
• Help with the established routines, provide positive guidance and observe the children.
• Communicate with families about their child's day and needs on a daily basis.
• Communicate and collaborate with teacher and/or administrator on a daily basis.

Requirements

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED
• Associates Degree in Early Childhood or related field - Preferred
• Associates Degree with 12 credits in Early Childhood
• Knowledge in child development and early education theories and practices
• Effective verbal and listening communication skills
• Flexibility, compassion, patience and nurturing
• Maintain First Aid/CPR Certification
