Key Responsibilities
- Supervise preschool children at all times while ensuring compliance with licensing, safety, and accreditation standards.
- Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities that meet the needs of the whole child and reflect individual interests.
- Collaborate with teaching team members to design, evaluate, and enhance classroom routines, curriculum, and learning environments in alignment with ITERS, ECERS, and QRIS guidelines.
- Build strong relationships with families through regular communication, parent-teacher meetings, and developmental updates.
- Maintain accurate child records, assessments, and documentation in alignment with Community Care Licensing Title 22.
- Create a culturally responsive and inclusive classroom that promotes respect and celebrates diversity.
- Participate in professional development, training, and staff meetings to implement early education best practices.
Position Requirements
- Minimum of 12 core semester units in ECE plus 3 units in Infant/Toddler studies.
- Eligible for the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing Child Development Program Associate Teacher Permit or higher.
- Experience working with preschool children in a licensed childcare center.
- Compliance with all health, background check, and immunization requirements for childcare employment.
