About This Role

This Preschool Teacher opportunity at The Dogwood School of Chester serves Preschool (3–5) and requires a willingness to earn a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, with employer support. Based in Chester, NJ, candidates bring experience in early childhood education and development.

What You'll Do

Create a warm, safe, and nurturing classroom.
Plan fun, play-based learning experiences.
Build positive relationships with children and families.
Work collaboratively with your teaching team.
Supervise children indoors and in our outdoor classrooms.
Maintain a clean and organized classroom.
Follow all health and safety requirements.

Requirements

CDA or equivalent early childhood education experience required.
Experience working with young children, preferably ages 2–3½.
Warm, nurturing, and dependable.
Enjoy working as part of a collaborative team.
Strong communication skills.

Nice to Have

Experience in a preschool or early childhood setting.
CPR and First Aid certification.
Enjoy spending time outdoors in all seasons.
Experience with play-based learning.
Creativity, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
