Preschool Teacher

About This Role

Kiddie Academy of Rocky Hill is seeking an experienced Preschool Teacher who shares their passion for Early Childhood Education. The ideal candidate will work with children aged 3 to 5 years old and must meet Connecticut licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the physical, social, and emotional needs of children are met daily.
• Creates activities and opportunities that foster curiosity, exploration, and problem-solving appropriate to children's developmental levels and learning styles.
• Assists and supervises children during all activities.
• Maintains a clean and safe classroom environment according to NAEYC guidelines.
• Completes necessary paperwork such as daily notes, student accident reports, and attendance reports.
• Develops and implements classroom lesson plans, programs, and schedules.
• Prepares instructional aids and materials for classroom activities.
• Assists children with meal times and cleanup.
• Maintains classroom and outdoor equipment in good condition and ensures proper usage.
• Interacts with parents and maintains open communication to encourage family engagement.
• Maintains the Family Information Board and classroom bulletin boards.

Requirements

• Experience in Early Childhood Education.
• A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Medication Administration certificate (nice to have).
