Preschool Teacher

About the Role

Acelero Learning seeks a Preschool Teacher to shape the foundational experiences of children ages 3 to 5 within our Head Start program. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, developmentally appropriate instruction in a nurturing and inclusive environment. You will collaborate with an Assistant Teacher, families, and an interdisciplinary team to support each child’s academic, social, and emotional growth.

Responsibilities

• Foster meaningful interactions using the CLASS™ framework to support emotional, social, and cognitive development.
• Create and maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive classroom that encourages exploration and learning.
• Implement a research-based curriculum aligned with developmentally appropriate standards to support school readiness.
• Conduct ongoing child assessments to individualize instruction and track developmental progress across all learning domains.
• Adapt teaching strategies to support children with special needs, dual language learners, and varying developmental levels.
• Engage families as partners, building strong relationships to support learning at school and home.
• Participate in ongoing professional development, coaching, and reflective practices to foster a culture of collaboration and improvement.

Requirements

• A degree in Early Childhood Education—or a degree in another field with at least six completed courses in Early Childhood Education.
• Hands-on experience teaching preschool-aged children, with the ability to adapt strategies for diverse developmental needs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for engaging with children, families, and team members.
• A team-oriented mindset and willingness to collaborate with co-teachers, families, and support staff.
• A deep commitment to early learning and supporting children’s social, emotional, and academic growth in an inclusive environment.

Pay

$41,912 per year.
