Preschool Teacher Assistant (Part-Time), Bardmoor YMCA Preschool Academy

About the role

Assist in the daily operations of the preschool classroom, support teachers in lesson planning and execution, and provide a nurturing environment for children aged 3-5 years.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in implementing curriculum and activities
• Supervise children during playtime and group activities
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of the classroom
• Communicate regularly with parents about their child’s progress

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
• At least one year of relevant experience working with children
• Valid CPR and first aid certification
• Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, afternoons, and evenings

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for early childhood education

Skills

• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Experience with child development and learning theories
• Basic computer literacy
