About This Role

Join the support team at Trinity Learning Center in Knoxville, TN as a Preschool Substitute Teacher. This role pays $15/Hr and requires relevant professional experience.

We're looking for dedicated and compassionate substitute teachers to join our team at Trinity Learning Center. Our preschool is a Christ-centered, play-based environment where staff members work from 8:30am to 2:30pm. What You'll Do

• Implement and follow prepared lesson plans to ensure a engaging and effective learning experience for our students.
• Ensure a safe and loving environment for all children by adhering to TLC and DHS guidelines and protocols.
• Provide a daily routine that includes a variety of developmentally appropriate activities, making adjustments as needed to keep children engaged and learning.
• Perform daily cleaning duties to maintain a clean and healthy environment.
• Effectively manage classroom responsibilities and ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely and organized manner.

Requirements

• Pass background check and health screening, ensuring a safe environment for all children.
• Complete required online trainings prior to the first day of work and continuing education as needed.
• Be comfortable assisting with bathroom routines, toilet training, and diaper changes, demonstrating a willingness to support the needs of our students.
• Work well with others, maintaining a positive attitude and attitude towards teamwork.
• Willingness to follow all TLC & DHS policies, ensuring a smooth and efficient work environment.
• Enjoy working with children, with previous experience in a child care center being a plus but not necessary.
• Comfortable working on a flexible schedule, with the ability to work any day of the week, M-F.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in a classroom setting, ideally in a similar preschool environment.
• Hold Infant/Child & CPR certification, demonstrating a commitment to student safety and well-being.
• Flexibility to work on short notice, as the needs of our students and staff may change daily.
