About the Role

Chesterbrook Academy is seeking an experienced, people-focused leader to serve as Principal of our Chesterbrook Academy at Washington Square in Philadelphia, PA. This school has proudly served Philadelphia-area families since 2000 and offers a NAEYC-accredited early childhood education program with an established reputation for academic excellence and genuine care. The next Principal will have the opportunity to build on that strong foundation, developing and retaining a talented team of educators, strengthening family and community partnerships, driving enrollment, and continuing to elevate the experience for children and families.

To welcome the right leader to this school, we are offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus, with $2,500 paid after six months of employment and $2,500 paid after one year of employment, subject to applicable eligibility requirements and payroll withholdings.

What We're Looking For

• Must meet Pennsylvania Child Care Center Director qualifications as outlined by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) regulations.
• Minimum of two (2) years of leadership or supervisory experience in a licensed childcare center, preschool, or early childhood education program.
• Thorough knowledge of Pennsylvania childcare licensing regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices in early childhood education.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, manage daily center operations, support staff performance, and foster a positive learning environment.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Educational Leadership, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Experience with Pennsylvania Keystone STARS, accreditation programs (NAEYC, COA, or similar), or other continuous quality improvement initiatives preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain all required clearances, certifications, and ongoing professional development as required by Pennsylvania regulations.
