About the role

The Early Learning Cook is responsible for providing nutritious and healthy meals for the children. Meals are provided daily: breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the USDA Meal Program.
• Ensure that Health, USDA, and Licensing Standards are followed.
• Complete all daily paperwork in a timely manner.
• Monitor purchasing of food, milk, and supplies within budget guidelines.
• Maintain the kitchen, ensuring it is kept clean, sanitized, and in order.
• Ensure that the daily menus are followed.

Requirements

• Minimum age requirement: 18 years of age.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.
• Maintain a current Food Handlers Card.
• Prior experience working in a kitchen.
