Full-time Preschool Paraeducator position at Franklin Street Preschool for the 2026-2027 school year.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Title 1 Schools require Highly Qualified Status, which includes one of the following:
  • Associate's Degree
  • Equivalent two years of college
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Paraeducator II certification from the NH Department of Education

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the classroom teacher, the Preschool Paraeducator assists with students in the classroom by planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum for assigned age groups.

Additional Responsibilities (District Wide Special Education Paraeducator Context)

• Assist with implementation of IEP goals and objectives pertaining to educational needs, social-emotional development, behavioral development, fine motor skills, and gross motor skills to foster independence
• Assist with physical and minimal health needs of children, which may include:
  • Lifting
  • Feeding
  • Toileting/diapering
  • Personal hygiene

Pay

$19.94 - $27.27 per hour. Placement is based on relative prior experience.
