Preschool Lead Teacher

Essential Functions

• Maintain compliance with program guidelines and performance standards (including MN Rule 3, Child & Adult Care Food Program)
• Integrate curriculum by creating lesson plans, developing individual learning plans, observing, assessing, and documenting children's progress
• Undergo annual CLASS observations measuring effective teacher-child interactions
• Obtain and maintain TSGOLD assessment tool certification within established program deadlines
• Promote parent participation in Head Start Program activities
• Maintain children's classroom files and program database (daily attendance and meal count, home visits, conferences, health and safety logs, separation log, accident reports, mandated reporting documentation)
• Ensure appropriate health and safety practices by conducting daily informal health checks and participating in emergency drills
• Maintain active supervision of children, provide ongoing communication with parents including home visits, parent conferences, and other events
• Support multiple classrooms if assigned to a multi-site location
