NLCS Instructional Aide JOB TITLE: NLCS Instructional Aide REPORTS TO: Special Education Director Summary Description An aide in our Preschool classrooms will work to nourish curiosity through purposeful experiences. Job Responsibilities Building Instructional Capacity SupervisionAssist teachers with the implementation of curriculum in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each childCultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partnersCollaborate with other teaching staff and instructional support staffSupport and implement all policies and regulations as designed by each respective school and NLCS.Maintain the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of classroom teachers.Create a safe, nurturing environment where children are able to learn and playMaintain a fun and interactive classroom that is clean and organizedEnsure the daily care of every child by following all licensing requirements Qualifications A love for children and a desire to make a difference every dayWorks well with othersMust be able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with childrenAbility to multi-task and manage multiple situations effectivelyStrong organization skillsCPR and First Aid Certification (or willing to obtain)1+ year of Early Childhood Education Experience (preferred)
