About the role

The Preschool Inclusive Practices Specialist will work within the Special Education Department at Riverside Unified School District (RUSD), supporting inclusive practices in preschool settings.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement inclusive practices for preschool classrooms.
  • Evaluate and improve existing curriculum to ensure it supports diverse learners.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support inclusive education initiatives.
  • Provide professional development opportunities for staff on inclusive practices.
  • Assess and document student progress using data-driven methods.
  • Conduct observations and provide feedback to teachers on inclusive practices.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • A valid California Children's Center Permit; or, a California Elementary Teacher Credential (with 12 units in Early Childhood Education); or, an Education Specialist Credential (with 12 units in Early Childhood Education); or, an Early Childhood Special Education Credential.
  • Online Edjoin Certificated Application.
  • Letter of Interest, résumé, and three (3) current letters of recommendation.
  • Copy of all current credentials held, or evidence of qualifying.
  • Copy of transcripts with degree(s) posted.
  • Minimum of (5) years of experience as a successful teacher.
  • Placement on the July 1, 2025 Teacher Salary Schedule: One year of step credit for each year of previous experience equivalent to public school experience, not to exceed 14 years.
  • $51,407 - $65,608 California Children's Center Permit or $74,796-$144,274 Education Specialist Credential/Early Childhood Special Education Credential (Reflects a 100% Contract) plus health, dental, vision, life insurance and Employee Assistance Program.
