About the role
Supports the preschool teachers in providing a nurturing and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children aged 2-5 years old. Collaborates with families to promote child development and educational goals. Assists with classroom management, daily routines, and special events.
Responsibilities
- Assist preschool teachers in creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
- Support children's social-emotional growth through play-based activities and interactions
- Collaborate with families to develop individualized plans for child development and education
- Participate in classroom management and daily routines
- Assist with special events and celebrations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Experience working with young children preferred
- Valid California Child Development Permit (CDP)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Qualifications
- Strong commitment to early childhood education and child development
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information
- Passion for supporting families and promoting child development
