Teacher Preschool

About the role

We are seeking a Childcare Preschool Teacher to join our organization! This individual will plan and present age-appropriate activities for children.

Responsibilities

• Instruct preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth
• Create a fun and safe learning environment
• Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
• Maintain the health and safety of all students
• Plan and deliver lessons designed to facilitate students' social, emotional, and cognitive development
• Develop age-appropriate socialization skills in children
• Encourage positive behavior and good manners
• Use various learning methods such as stories, games, and drawing to intellectually stimulate children
• Identify behavioral problems and develop appropriate strategies to address them
• Attend staff meetings, conferences, and workshops
• Hold regular parent-teacher meetings to address any issues, concerns, or parent complaints
• Provide a pleasant, safe, and sanitary environment
• Communicate with parents and provide updates on children’s progress

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• State Training and Registry System (STARS) certification is advantageous
• CPR & First Aid (Infant & Adult)
• Bloodborne Pathogens Training
• Clear criminal background check
• Clean TB test
• Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields
