Preschool Float Teacher

Sun Prairie YMCA is seeking a professional, detail-oriented Preschool Float Lead or Assistant Teacher to help create a fun and interactive classroom environment. The YMCA is recognized for its dedication to families and the community, providing high-quality, progressive early childhood education.

Responsibilities

• Create fun and interactive learning experiences while serving as mentors to fellow Teachers.
• Ensure the daily care of every child by following all licensing guidelines and company standards.
• Communicate directly with parents and prospective parents to achieve success for the child.
• Maintain proper records and department files.
• Prepare morning and afternoon meals and snacks.
• Manage emergencies, unusual circumstances, and behavior.
• Create a supportive and uplifting work environment.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Lead Teacher or Assistant Teacher classification recognized by Wisconsin State Licensing requirements.
• Knowledge of general child growth and development, learning, and developmentally appropriate activities for children.
• Ability to effectively interact with, lead, and motivate members who have a variety of abilities and needs.
• Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans (Lead Teacher only).
