Preschool Educator (Full-Time & Part-Time)

Position Summary PICA Product Development is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer to join our manufacturing team on site in Derry. This position is responsible for executing the procurement of electronic components, and supplies required to support production work orders, and customer commitments. The ideal candidate has some experience in electronics procurement, strong supplier relationship skills, and the ability to balance cost, quality, inventory levels, in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Purchase electronic components, raw materials, supplies, and services required to support manufacturing operationsReview purchase requisitions, production work order requirements, and inventory levels to determine purchasing needsIssue and manage purchase orders while ensuring accuracy of pricing, quantities, delivery dates, and specificationsWork closely with Production, Planning, Engineering, Quality, and Materials teams to ensure timely availability of materialsMonitor supplier performance including delivery schedules, quality, pricing, and responsivenessDevelop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and resolve related issuesTrack open purchase orders and communicate status updates to internal teamsIdentify and address potential material shortages or supply chain risksSupport inventory management activities to maintain appropriate stock levels while minimizing excess inventoryReview supplier quotes and negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms when applicableMaintain accurate purchasing records and documentation within ERP/MRP systemsAssist with new supplier onboarding and supplier qualification activitiesSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to purchasing processes, cost reduction, and efficiencyEnsure purchasing activities comply with company procedures, quality requirements, and customer requirements Required Qualifications Experience with electronic procurement tools, such as Luminovo, or various AI platformsHigh school diploma or GED required; associate degree or higher preferred1+ years of purchasing experience in an electronics manufacturing environment preferredStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially ExcelAbility to read and understand purchase specifications, drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and manufacturing documentation Preferred Qualifications Experience with Luminovo is very helpful.
